What is an Affiliate?
An Affiliate is a party that offers one or more products from a webshop (not being it’s own webshop) on its website and if a visitor orders one or more products from it, the referring website receives a commission from the actual provider (webshop).
How do I become a emekshop Affiliate?
Click on the link affiliate and go through the registration process. The application will be assessed within 5 business days. If agreed, the account is immediately active. If not, you can start a new application after changes.
Do I need to be registered with the Chamber of Commerce?
No, it is not necessary. However, if you have high income from your affiliate agreements, then a registration with the Chamber of Commerce and possibly also with the tax authorities might be mandatory. Contact the Chamber of Commerce and Taks authorities to obtain more information.
Do I need a website to register?
Yes. We only engage in online affiliate marketing. So you need a website, app or a Facebook/Twitter account.
Can I log in with my personal Facebook or Twitter account?
As long as your account meets the partner conditions, this is not a problem.
My registration has been rejected. Why?
Your application can be rejected for several reasons. We have listed the most common ones for you:
- Your website is not yet finished, or we have no access to your website.
- We don't think we are the right match for you.
- You have a cashback or discount code website that we do not work with.
A factor that will play an increasing role in the evaluation of applications is GDPR regulation and law compliance. Please keep this in mind when applying.
Can I use content from Emekshop?
Yes. That is allowed. For example, you can use our images or refer to our YouTube, Twitter or facebook posts. You can also use our product texts for inspiration, but you are not allowed to copy them completely.
Is it possible to set up exclusive promotions?
Yes! That is possible, of course. If you have an idea for an exclusive promotion, then please let us know. You can always email us to discuss the possibilities. We do our best to give you a response as soon as possible.
Do you work with generic discount codes?
Sometimes we have generic promotional codes, but usually our promotional codes are personal or for a selected group of people.
I would like to have a special banner or another format. Can I do that?
Of course you can. Please send us the banner before publishing it.
Can I also promote emekshop abroad?
That is certainly possible. Emekshop ships world wide. We also have a Dutch and English website. However, take into account the shipping costs might be considerable and that not everyone in your country might understand English.
Can I promote Emekshop in my newsletter?
Yes, but it must be clearly visible that you send the mail and not Emekshop. We would like to see your mail before sending it. You can send your mail to info@emekshop.nl and as soon as you have our agreement, you can send your mail.
What are the terms and conditions of the affiliate program?
The program is linked to a few rules of play. These can be found on the affiliate conditions page. The link can be found at the bottom of this page
Can I make sure that visitors stay on my website when they buy something?
No. The visitor should always be redirected to the Emekshop website.
What is the average time for approval of sales?
At Emekshop, customers can return their product up to 14 days after purchase. Due to this period, we aim to inspect the sales after this period has expired as soon as possible. So it boils down to your sales being judged within 2 to 3 weeks.
I have both Dutch and non-Dutch visitors on my website. How does this work?
There is no difference between the Dutch affiliate
programme and the non-Dutch programme (except for language). So there is only
one code to take into account.
