Scania
The famous brand with the Griffin (mythical figure) in the logo, which almost everyone knows or has seen before: Scania. Founded in 1891, and because of that, one of the oldest truck manufacturers on the planet, now a worldwide player in the market for trucks, busses and diesel engines for many different uses. Again, this brand is from Sweden, like one of it's competitors. So trucks and Sweden do go together very well apperently. Scania is controlled, but not part of Volkswagen group due to the majority shareholder that Volkswagen is. Competitor MAN, which is also controlled, but not part of Volkswagen, also has a stake in Scania. Scania is and probably will remain an independant truck manufacturer..
